Easily the best evening of my life… I met Makoto Shinkai!!! (you know, he’s the one that single-handedly made the masterpiece that is “Voices of a Distant Star” (Hoshi no Koe), and then went on to create the even greater masterpiece near the end of last year that is “The Place Promised in our Early Days” (Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho)) I actually met him…and got his autograph!!! (it was at the British Film Theatre to see a screening of Voices of a Distant Star)

Hmm…now i wonder when i’ll be able to meet the other people on my list of people i’d like to meet? (the list consists of: Haruko Momoi, Tenmon, Ken Akamatsu, Haayo Miyazaki, Whoever made Kimagure Orange Road, Hironobu Sakaguchi, Nobuo Uematsu, Sid Meier, and Jon Tickle)
