Anime Expo 2009 Misc/Summing Up
Well first of all, sorry i didn’t manage to get to most of the non-Morning Musume events i wanted to see, lol. Queuing really took a lot of time out of the schedule.
AX was yet again very un-organized, but oh well, what can you do, none of their staff are paid.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone i met! There are too many to remember all your names, but it made the event that much more fun. (still disappointed there were like almost no Koharu fans though, only one person the entire weekend even mentioned watching OhaStar with Koharu on it, lol)
The temperatures out there were pretty good. Nice and warm with no stupid humidity, and a nice cooling breeze. The area was also far nicer than Long Beach, and it was incredibly convenient actually having a hotel nearby this time.
Oh, i guess i didn’t mention the drama at the press junket with Morning Musume. Basically Up Front looked at the list of press people and outright refused to let the girls be interviewed by Hello Online (everyone’s guess is that it’s because of the tracker), and then they randomly picked people on the list instead of following the order of names, only choosing to do interviews with non-fansites.
I’m so applying for a press pass next time though, apparently they didn’t bother doing any sort of checks on anyone… so long as you have a business card then you can get a press pass, lol.
I so hope they make a fanclub DVD of the entire event and concert. ^_^
Oh, and one last thing. I don’t know about here, but the news out there only seemed to consist of that Michael Jackson memorial at the staples centre on it. That was literally at the back of the convention building, lol. There were hundreds of press vans parked there, and they all looked like they were wondering why there were thousands of people dressed up as anime characters instead of weeping Michael Jackson fans, lol. I was so hoping they’d interview me (they didn’t).
