Koha fansite

Tag: Misc,MusicInsaneLampshade @ 19:58pm

So i thought i’d stick up a pretty basic Koha fansite on my domain here so i don’t keep spamming the main site with junk (wait… you mean there’s non-junk posts here? o.O).

The main (read: only) content on it at the moment is translations of the Koha mail phone blog thingy she has (purely because no-one else is doing so and it’s just about within my realm of understanding, lol).

Glowsticks

Tag: MiscInsaneLampshade @ 22:06pm

Possibly the most glowsticks that have ever been in the house at once. But we are now prepared for Ayacon. :)

Bluesticks

Pinksticks

Tested to make sure they work of course:

Glowing

…that leaves 998. :)

The real reason all cameras should be banned at concerts

AKB48 at the Japan expo in Paris…

AKB48 Japan Expo Paris

…that’s what happens. Braindead idiotic pondscum just sit there recording everything without enjoying the concert. Seriously, nothing is more annoying than a bunch of zombies standing still holding a camera above their heads at arms length killing all of the atmosphere in the crowd.

I’m so glad i went to LA instead of France because based on what i’ve read the expo in Paris was even less organized than AX…

- People being herded around like cattle (in a convention centre that looks like an abandoned warehouse) with seemingly no concept of an organized queue/line.

- Translators refusing to translate questions at the panel that people asked in English because they “didn’t understand” (yeah right, we all know how that trick works >_>).

- Some idiot at the AKB48 panel complaining and asking them why they sung a couple of songs in English because it sounded better in Japanese. To which they responded that they were sad to hear that since they’d been practising so hard to sing those songs in English. What an utter c**k, i bet they felt really bad after that.

I hope to god no guest ever goes to France that makes me want to go. >_<

Anime Expo 2009 Misc/Summing Up

Tag: Anime,Music,My LifeInsaneLampshade @ 1:49am

Well first of all, sorry i didn’t manage to get to most of the non-Morning Musume events i wanted to see, lol. Queuing really took a lot of time out of the schedule.

AX was yet again very un-organized, but oh well, what can you do, none of their staff are paid.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone i met! There are too many to remember all your names, but it made the event that much more fun. (still disappointed there were like almost no Koharu fans though, only one person the entire weekend even mentioned watching OhaStar with Koharu on it, lol)

The temperatures out there were pretty good. Nice and warm with no stupid humidity, and a nice cooling breeze. The area was also far nicer than Long Beach, and it was incredibly convenient actually having a hotel nearby this time.

Oh, i guess i didn’t mention the drama at the press junket with Morning Musume. Basically Up Front looked at the list of press people and outright refused to let the girls be interviewed by Hello Online (everyone’s guess is that it’s because of the tracker), and then they randomly picked people on the list instead of following the order of names, only choosing to do interviews with non-fansites.

I’m so applying for a press pass next time though, apparently they didn’t bother doing any sort of checks on anyone… so long as you have a business card then you can get a press pass, lol.

I so hope they make a fanclub DVD of the entire event and concert. ^_^

Oh, and one last thing. I don’t know about here, but the news out there only seemed to consist of that Michael Jackson memorial at the staples centre on it. That was literally at the back of the convention building, lol. There were hundreds of press vans parked there, and they all looked like they were wondering why there were thousands of people dressed up as anime characters instead of weeping Michael Jackson fans, lol. I was so hoping they’d interview me (they didn’t).
