Beer Tasting

There are a vast number of “real ales” out there… last weekend was somewhat of an experiment in what else is out there other than my preferred “Fursty Ferret”, and the above is what was bought.
I was originally going to write some sort of thoughts on each one, but well… i’m lazy.
So, suffice to say, the experiment wasn’t an amazing success, but neither was it a failure. The “Ruddles Rhubarb” was my favourite of the lot, would have never expected rhubarb and beer to be a good combination, very refreshing (unless you hate the overwhelming taste of rhubarb… in which case it’s probably not for you, lol), will buy again.
…the “Punk IPA” gets a mention for being the worst of the lot. The bottle describes it as an “aggressive” beer, and it certainly isn’t lying. Aggressive, yet not great, tastes like the sort of German beer that makes you wake up with a terrible hangover, mixed together with the slight aftertaste of bile. Or as someone else described it… “like a hobo has pissed in your mouth”. I guess i’m not a fan of “agressive” beers… lol.
The rest were not particularly memorable, not amazing, yet not bad.
