2 posts in one day, yes, everything is back to normal internet business now!

Harepan news that’s not months old for once (only a mere 3 days this time)!!

Most obvious is the slight image change (slight being somewhat of an understatement possibly, though it could just be a promotional image for their site). 2nd is that they have changed their name (yet again) from “80★PAN!” to “80_pan”… still pronounced the same though… “harepan”, i guess they’re changing name to distinguish between their music styles maybe (Harenchi Punch = idol/anime band, 80★PAN! = pop-rock girl band, 80_pan = disco/dunno yet?).

And third and most importantly is that they will have a new album called “Disco Baby” coming out on the 25th June (wah, so long away!).

………………..but………..that’s not all…………… this is the really interesting part……….

Some of the songs on the album are being produced by a few people from bands in the UK, 2 songs produced by a band called “Shitdisco” (lol, what a name), and one by the bassist from a band called “The Pipettes“. Quite frankly i’ve never heard of either of them, lol, but i’m extremely interested to see how this album will turn out (11 tracks as far as i can gather). “electropop/cute, with UK producers” according to the jvcmusic page, lol. I guess i should investigate what those two bands sound like for some sort of indication of what it’ll be, but i have faith, they’re such great girls, they can pull anything off.

If i were entirely delusional i’d say something like “i wonder if our going to their concert and speaking to them/their manager had anything to do with their decision to get UK bands to produce songs for them”… lol. Though they definitely like British music, i’m pretty sure i’ve seen Tomomi wearing a Sex Pistols t-shirt before, and she mentioned a couple of British bands on their web tv show thing.

The only negative thing i will say is my initial reaction of: “DEAR GOD WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO THEIR HAIR?!!”, i *absolutely hate* dyed hair like that, all i can hope is that they’re wigs and that they won’t wear them anywhere other than promotional photo’s like that. They had such beautiful hair before.

Tomomi and Maco… i’ll be supporting you no matter what you do, good luck (maybe i should buy multiple copies of it, lol)!

Moving itself was easy… everything in boxes, stick boxes in van, drive for a couple of hours, unload boxes, done. However, cleaning the house took somewhat more effort… 7 days, half a bottle of bathroom spray, one and a half bottles of kitchen cleaner, and half a bottle of bleach. However it seems to finally be finished, lol…

For those of you that know who’s house it is, then you will realise how impressive the above truly is, lol. Yes, there is a surface in the kitchen, and yes the fridge is white and no longer contains dead things (well you know… no several year out of date things with forests of mold….. there are still of course the edible dead things, amongst the other essentials).

The living room could still do with being tidy (and carpet being washed), but quite frankly that’s possibly the most carpet i’ve ever seen in the room ever, lol… it does exist afterall, and the hoover does work too!

Watching concert DVD’s on a 37″ TV is nice indeed (as is the 360, and computer/anime).

No picture of my room as half of my stuff is still in boxes… a picture of some boxes is hardly exciting.

As for new job, it’s utterly great to be able to be sitting at my desk 20 minutes after leaving the house instead of the 2 hours at my old place, and also great not having to answer the phone.

Ahh, this week i’ll actually have time to do things other than cleaning, ahhhhhh, excellent, i think i shall watch Berryz again.

Random observation about living away from parents: i never realised how much butter i consume… even though that “flora pro-active” is supposed to be healthier than normal butter, i think getting through a whole tub of it by myself within 8 days possibly negates that, lol. But hey, i’m cycling to/from work every day, the world balances in the end!

Moving house this weekend, never done it before, should be interesting (so long as i’m not too hungover from the leaving party for me at work on friday, lol). Moving some 96 miles (155 kilometres) north-ish:

And i updated the site to use WordPress 2.5 yesterday. While i have to admit the backend is looking very sleek now (the keyword there being “looking”), i’m somewhat miffed that it seems to have broken image uploading, lol (it took me almost 30 minutes to get that map picture uploaded there, lol), not to mention that the latest version of the photopress plugin just plainly didn’t work at all. Ahh well. When wordpress fixes the 2.5 image uploader i’ll probably migrate the gallery’s away from the photopress plugin and use wordpress’s new internal gallery thing instead anyway.

However… most important at the moment is getting an internet connection that is not as slow as a dead walrus after i have moved… i mean waiting for youtube to buffer wtf?! Damn backwater Middle-England hicks with their crappy telephone lines, anyone’d think it was Wales.

EDIT: image uploader now fixed (blah, mod_security, .htaccess etc.), so i shall be trying out what the new gallery thing is like (if anyone notices a “Photos2″ suddenly appearing at the top then that’ll be it), maybe it’ll even be able to space images evenly in a page, lol.
