lol, gardening post again…

Hmm, while i’m on the subject of chilli’s… never eat a whole birdseye chilli no matter whether “it seemed like a good idea at the time” (if you ever need to use that excuse then it was, and always will be a bad idea, lol). My head was stuck under a freezing cold running tap for a good half hour (goats cheese seemed to fix the burning though). T_T

Forgot to post this the other day, but meh, seems Harenchi Punch have changed their name, i’m not too fussed so long as the band members don’t change, and their music style doesn’t change too drastically. And a new album is always something to celebrate about! Does Maco ever have bad hair? lol, man i love her hair! <3

…and what good timing too (what with vol. 9 coming out next month).

After a year of on and off reading, i finally forced myself to finish reading through all the Haruhi novels (man, the guys at baka-tsuki are legendary, if any of them live in England and happen to read this i shall buy them beer… cannot express gratitude enough).

505,492 words, 991 A4 pages (at size 12 font with Word’s default print margin’s) of pure excellence. That is just something that my brain has trouble comprehending. I remember back in school complaining about 800 word pieces of homework that would take me hours to complete. I remember reading only recently about some writing competition that had a 15,000 word limit and thinking “Jesus christ, fifteen thousand words, that’s more than enough surely?!”.

But… five hundred thousand words! Just thinking about something like that, how long it must take to come up with all of that, *and* keep it a coherent and thoroughly entertaining story, it’s simply amazing.

Novel writing, it’s clearly something beyond the scope of my understanding, i truly am speechless. Anyone who puts that much effort into something deserves the highest praises…

Nagaru Tanigawa i bow down before your greatness, may you continue writing forever!

First weekend after the PS3′s launch in Europe, and my quest seems to have failed.

Yes, that’s right, we failed to locate *any* shops in town that had sold out of PS3′s. In fact, all of the shops selling them had stacks of 5-10 of them outside their doors almost begging people to take them away. One shop even had a big sign saying “ONLY 7 LEFT”, went past the same shop a day later and they had sold a total of 2 of them… lol. ^_^

Nice one Sony, you can keep your broken console (at least until you give us the same console the rest of the world got, and the same price as the rest of the world had it).

Edit: Look what i found in the window of my local HMV, they *are* pretty much begging people to buy them, lol (damn these cameraphone things are useful):

UPDATE: BS-i denied its existence (yeah right, just like how they did with Clannad schedule), but Kadokawa did not.

Not entirely sure that Mikuru is the right choice though, lol (judged purely by that picture alone). I did enjoy Yui Aragaki in Shi15uya (as i mentioned last year), so that’ll be interesting.

Still, i’m somewhat doubtful though. Will wait until there’s a trailer before getting fully excited.
