I think i’ve pretty much watched all what i wanted to watch now, so i guess it’s time for me to write a few brief opinions on what imo has been a rather average season so far (as before, if i don’t write about it, it’s either not been subbed, or i purposely decided not to watch it).

Asatte no Houkou – This show has the most potential imo of this season to be something interesting, seems a little slow paced though, we’ll see where it’s headed.

Gift ~Eternal Rainbow~ – Hmm… nice artwork, seems somewhat generic/average though, might give it another episode or drop it.

Happiness! – Well clearly Jun makes the whole thing worthwile! And has inspired my current forum sig/avatar:

Kanon – Another beautiful piece of work from Kyoto Animation. Excellent as expected.

Kujibiki Unbalance – I’m somewhat surprised by this, i thought it would turn out to be a bit crap, but first impressions after the first episode makes me think this’ll be far better than the original.

Lovedol ~Lovely Idol~ – Well, it met expectations, but hey, we’re only watching for the music, right? ^_^ That end theme is really growing on me. If i can watch Lemon Angel Project, then this will be 100x better!

Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! – I like the artwork and the characters, story looks vaguely promising too.

Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru – It seems this is trap season, oh well… i need something to replace Strawberry Panic, this’ll have to do, lol. I quite like the vocals in the end theme. And the chibi characters certainly have their own charm (much like i felt with Aria).

Sumomomo Momomo – Mmm yes… MOSAIC.WAV OP song. “Interesting” artwork. The story doesn’t particularly look like it’s going anywhere though, i may end up dropping it.

Tokimeki Memorial – I watched this knowing nothing about the Tokimeki games (other than that they exist), and was fully expecting some sort of generic school romance show… i was pleasently surprised, i wonder how long it can keep up the “wtf” comedy though before it gets boring.

Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na – Nice artwork, story seems fairly predictable, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Favourite OP’s (not including Kanon seeing as i’d heard it before):

And last of all i bet everyone’s wondering what the one show i dropped was… well it was Negima!? unfortunately. I like the new animation, it’s clearly better, i don’t mind the lack of fanservice, and minor plot changes…. *but* the one thing i can’t forgive… it’s just not funny!! I sat there cringing through the whole of the first episode and the first 10 mins of the 2nd (before i gave up). The comedy just wasn’t there, all the jokes (and some of the voice acting to be honest) either felt completly forced, or like they were aiming it at 12 year olds or something.

Fair enough if they wanted to take out the comedy then take out the comedy… just don’t replace it with bad comedy. >_< I wonder if the OVA will be any better.

Yeah i know i’m kinda late, but well… it seems there are a couple of new Haruhi character CD’s coming out at the beginning of december, one for Tsuruya and one for Ryouko.

As for the bonus material in DVD 03… not as great as the others, seemed to be some sort of photo-shoot with Aya Hirano, Minori Chihara, and Yuko Goto. Some of the nekoman pictures are quite funny though. And they changed the background behind the DVD’s… it’s now a picture of Mars. ^_^
