Uhh anyway… after all the commotion around that video has died down *cough* over 200,000 views on youtube *cough* i guess it’s time to go back to normal.

As i mentioned a little while back, i umm “discovered” this manga called らき☆すた (Lucky Star), it seems it’s some sort of 4 panel comedy manga about these otaku girls (well at least, that’s all i could gather, lol).

Anyway, i *had* to order the manga, because the artwork was just too gorgeous!! (free preview available from official site)

Well, as well as the manga, i ordered the DS game “らき☆すた 萌えドリル,” (Lucky Star Moe Drill). And i have to say it’s quite fun!

I honestly have absolutly no idea what’s going on in it… it appears to be a collection of mini games, the main one centering around quickfire answering maths questions using the touchscreen (it does get quite hard, lol).

There’s some sort of story mode, where as far as i can tell, the girls wander around Akihabara visiting shops (we see Gamers), and a maid cafe, along the way random maths battles seem to happen (lol), and at one point Piyoko from DiGi Charat even showed up… i really have no idea what the plot is, lol.

The aim of the game seems to be to complete the mini-games, level up your stats, unlock more characters and story “scenarios”, unlock costumes, unlock artwork, and unlock other mini-games.

Overall quite fun! And the voice of “Patricia” (Satsuki Yukino… well at least i think that’s who it is)… is just so funny!! It’s distracting, lol… when i was doing the maths battle thing with her i kept losing concentration, and even the simplest “5+2 = ?” became hard!

The artwork is soooo pretty!! Why is the manga not being scanlated yet? *begs* *wishes for someone to do it* (i can provide scans if needed, lol)

As for my DS Lite… yes i am kinda impressed with it… it does look way better than the original DS.

After a day of learning dance (they weren’t joking when they said “The dance uses quite a lot of muscles not normally used… aching might result” …my body my poor body!!), and several hours figuring out how to edit video like that, that’s the end result!!

Hehe… i think i’ve just about learned the first 38 seconds of the dance… now i just need a group to cosplay with me (and someone with a video camera), and we’ll have ourselves a performance!

Yeah i know i’m a little late, lol. But i’ve only just watched the last epsiode. I thought it was kinda cool that the original Monkey (with theme music playing in the background) made a guest appearance!

It was definitely a great show. Far more serious moments than the original… i hope the rumored dubbing doesn’t go down the “comedy” route that the original did.

They all played their roles well, and i guess my favourite characters have gotta be Rinrin (so cute… and all those clothes too!!):

And also Roushi… “Titties Fruit”, and “Breast Festivals” ……..all this from a heavenly sage, lol.

I hope they make a second season.

My Taiko no Tatsujin game came yesterday (yes… i finally did figure out how to play import games without a mod chip):

The box for it was huge though, lol. But i like it. ^_^

This has gotta be one of the most fun yet simple games i’ve played in ages. It’d be a great party game. It was cool listening to all the anime themes, and Wonder Momoi, and some of the other original tunes in the game. Also, the mini-games are pretty fun too. Just a little side note… that cat had me laughing for a good few minutes, lol….. “Nya…… nya….. nya…. nya… nya.. nya. nya nya-nyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanya!!!”.

I’d just like to point out (before anyone else does ), yes i know my “reviews” are nothing more that a few pictures and me saying how great something is, lol….. that’s just the way it is… deal with it, my blog, my rules! ^_^

Best opening and ending theme of this season goes to Haruhi too… the animation is just so damn cool! ^_^
